Working people can’t seem to get ahead. As we watch the news, engage in our communities, and organize around our respective issues, it becomes more and more apparent that the ultra rich have undue influence over our government — and our economy.
Right here in New Jersey, the middle class pay a higher share of their household income in state and local taxes than millionaires. This follows a national trend towards a tax system built by the rich, for the rich, with budget after budget balanced on the backs of ordinary people.
Join us to begin a campaign for economic justice in New Jersey, beginning with a tax on millionaires. This training is geared towards grassroots leaders and advocates and will focus on why a millionaires tax is both fair and necessary for New Jersey to thrive.
